Basketball Recap: Venus Finds Home Court Redemption Against Ferris

There's no place like home for Venus, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-44 victory over the Ferris Yellowjackets on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Yellowjackets back in January, they had to take a 44-43 defeat.

Despite the loss, Ferris still got an impressive performance from Josiah Harris, who went 6 for 14 to rack up 17 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. What's more, Harris also racked up three blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Omari Tyner was another key player, putting up five points and three steals.

Venus pushed their record up to 14-17 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Ferris, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 18-16 record this season.
