The Broken Bow Indians will take on the Central City Bison at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Thursday, Broken Bow came up short against Holdrege and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Dusters: they've now lost three in a row.
Broken Bow was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Holdrege work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 17-25, 25-13, 25-21.

Despite their defeat, Broken Bow saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. McKenna Jacobsen, who had nine digs and two aces, was perhaps the best of all. Jacobsen is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Halle Quinn was another key player, getting 29 digs and two assists.
Meanwhile, Central City lost 3-0 to Milford on Thursday.
While Central City was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 25-23.
Central City now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Broken Bow, their loss dropped their record down to 15-14.
Broken Bow was able to grind out a solid win over Central City when the teams last played back in October of 2018, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
