Recap: Cinnaminson Pirates vs. Medford Tech Jaguars

The Cinnaminson Pirates waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They took down Medford Tech 69-54. For Cinnaminson, this counts as revenge for the 61-60 loss Medford Tech walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.

Medford Tech's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tre Powell, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds, and Nesta Rice who scored 19 points. Rice is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season.

Medford Tech struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Cinnaminson's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Medford Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cinnaminson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Northern Burlington at 5:15 p.m. on January 12th. Northern Burlington has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 20. Medford Tech won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Burlington City at 5:15 p.m. on January 12th. Burlington City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 395th, while Medford Tech is ranked 78th).
