Plainfield Central is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They were dealt a 55-12 defeat at the hands of Hinsdale Central. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Plainfield East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against DeKalb, falling 51-30. Plainfield East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-25. As for Plainfield Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-24.

Plainfield Central beat Plainfield East 55-48 in their previous meeting back in January.
