Baseball Recap: Asheville T Takes a Loss

The Asheville T Trailblazers came up short against the Upstate Eagles on Saturday and fell 15-10. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Corin Davis was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Winston Bauer-Wolf was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Gage Flowers was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Asheville T's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Upstate, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Upstate beat Asheville T by a score of 14-4 later that day.
