Basketball Game Preview: Sheets Memorial Christian Eagles vs. Hilltop Christian Chargers + How To Watch

The Sheets Memorial Christian Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Hilltop Christian Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sheets Memorial Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

While Sheets Memorial Christian didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They breezed past Covenant Classical to the tune of 79-52 last Thursday. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Finn Everhart and Jude Howell were among the main playmakers for Sheets Memorial Christian as the former dropped a double-double with 32 points and 12 boards and the latter went 9-for-18 en route to 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. The contest was Everhart's fifth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Karter Dykes, who posted six points and nine rebounds.

Sheets Memorial Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Hilltop Christian earned a 34-22 victory over Liberty Christian on Monday. Those 34 points were actually the fewest the Chargers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Hilltop Christian's win came from a few key players Sheets Memorial Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cole Morgan, who had six points and nine steals. Hilltop Christian is 2-1 when Morgan posts three or more steals, but 0-3 otherwise. Jackson Dyson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Sheets Memorial Christian's record now sits at 5-0. As for Hilltop Christian, their record is now 2-4.

Sheets Memorial Christian strolled past Hilltop Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2017 by a score of 77-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
