Catoctin and Boonsboro are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Catoctin Cougars will face off against the Boonsboro Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Catoctin is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Williamsport on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Catoctin was outmatched by Williamsport and fell 85-48. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Wildcats are ranked 83rd).

Meanwhile, Boonsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Walkersville.

Boonsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Catoctin, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-18.

Catoctin ended up a good deal behind Boonsboro in their previous matchup back in January, losing 72-55. Can Catoctin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
