Basketball Recap: Holt Snags Eighth Win in Last Ten Games

Holt lost to DeWitt back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Holt Rams strolled past the DeWitt Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 55-38. That 17 point margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.

Holt is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for DeWitt, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holt will venture away from home to square off against Waverly at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Waverly's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches. As for DeWitt, they will head out to take on Grand Ledge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
