Baseball Recap: Poteet Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jourdanton, Poteet was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over the Great Hearts Northern Oaks Griffins. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Aggies considering their two-run performance the game before.

With the victory, Poteet broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-12-1. As for Great Hearts Northern Oaks, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Poteet will be playing at home against Randolph at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Poteet's pitchers better be ready for this one: Randolph has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Great Hearts Northern Oaks, they will head out on the road to square off against Jourdanton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Hearts Northern Oaks will need to watch out since Jourdanton has now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
