Basketball Game Preview: Tabiona Tigers vs. Manila Mustangs

The Tabiona Tigers will square off against the Manila Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Manila will be up against a hot Tabiona squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Tabiona enjoyed a cozy 67-48 win over Altamont on Wednesday.

Bryson Fabrizio continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 11 on his way to 23 points along with seven assists and seven steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Tabiona's points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Rhoades, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 boards.

Meanwhile, Manila strolled past Wendover with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 61-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Tabiona is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Manila, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.

Everything came up roses for Tabiona against Manila in their previous meeting last Friday, as the team secured a 75-39 win. Will Tabiona repeat their success, or does Manila have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
