It was a good run, but Carol City unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 66-50 to the American Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 452nd, while the Patriots are ranked 196th).

American's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Angel Torres, who went 5 for 12 en route to 18 points. Torres' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Joshua Castin was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals.

Carol City now has a losing record at 7-8. As for American, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.

Carol City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for American, they will face off against Hialeah on Monday. One thing working in American's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
