It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Hampton Roads Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They secured a 59-54 W over the Steward Spartans. Winning may never get old, but the Navigators sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Hampton Roads Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zuriel Pendleton-Morant, who went 9 for 15 en route to 25 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Pendleton-Morant a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nalani Carter, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 boards.

Hampton Roads Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 18 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Savannah Martin, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Hali Harris, who earned 15 points.

Hampton Roads Academy pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Steward, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

Hampton Roads Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Summit Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Steward, they will square off against St. Anne's-Belfield at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in St. Anne's-Belfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
