Philip Jones turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than two hits surrendered on Monday. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also allowed no hits, which is notable because Leroy Greene Academy is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 3-6 otherwise.
