Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Manual). They never let the Vanguard Classical East Hawks get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what Manual needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Their offense was hitting Vanguard Classical East from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Gabriel Ruiz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Manual's win bumped their record up to 5-3-2. As for Vanguard Classical East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manual will welcome DMLK at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Manual will be up against DMLK's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.44 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Vanguard Classical East, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Rocky Mountain Lutheran at 5:15 p.m.
