Baseball Recap: Lompoc Takes a Loss

Lompoc saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came up short against the Bishop Montgomery Knights, falling 9-3. That's two games in a row now that the Braves have lost by exactly six runs.

Stone Kubasiewicz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Vallarta, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lompoc's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Bishop Montgomery, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Lompoc will take on Central Catholic in a tournament on Friday. As for Bishop Montgomery, they will challenge St. Francis at 10:00 p.m. on Friday.
