Football Game Preview: Orange Lutheran Lancers vs. St. John Bosco Braves + How To Watch

Orange Lutheran is 0-10 against St. John Bosco since October of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Lancers will look to defend their home field against the Braves at 7:00 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Reagan Toki and Koa Malau'ulu.

Orange Lutheran is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of California's top teams: Mater Dei, who was ranked third at the time (Orange Lutheran was ranked ninth). The Lancers took a hard 25-10 fall against the Monarchs on Friday.

Meanwhile, St. John Bosco put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat JSerra Catholic 70-21. With the Braves ahead 49-14 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Orange Lutheran better focus on containing Carson Clark and Maliq Allen as the pair were huge in St. John Bosco's win. Clark picked up 162 receiving yards and two TDs, while Allen gained 94 total yards and two touchdowns. Clark really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 76 yards. Another player making a difference was Madden Williams, who picked up 90 receiving yards and one score.

One reason for the win was St. John Bosco's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Matthew Muasau was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played.

St. John Bosco's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Orange Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
