Preview: Johnson-Brock Eagles vs. Diller-Odell Griffin

Johnson-Brock stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Sterling 65-11 on the road. Given Johnson-Brock's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Jets are ranked 185th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Johnson-Brock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brooklyn Behrends, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Behrends hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Taryn Ottemann, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, Diller-Odell gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They beat Exeter-Milligan/Friend by the very same score they won with last week: 60-30. The win made it back-to-back wins for Diller-Odell.
Johnson-Brock's win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Diller-Odell, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
Everything came up roses for Johnson-Brock against the Griffin in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 58-27 victory. With Johnson-Brock ahead 36-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
