Anderson's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They never let the Navarro Vikings get on the board and left with a 28-0 win. Considering the Trojans have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Willa Glover made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Glover was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lauren Montalvo, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with seven RBI, two triples, and three runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylor Coggin, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple.
Anderson hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 7-3 when they post two or more strikeouts.
The victory got Anderson back to even at 13-13. As for Navarro, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-20.
As of now, neither Anderson nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
