Volleyball Game Preview: Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets vs. Wake Prep Academy Guardians

The Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets will take on the Wake Prep Academy Guardians at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Roanoke Rapids is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Roanoke Rapids managed to slip by Bunn the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Yellowjackets lost 3-0 to the Wildcats on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-19, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Wake Prep Academy narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Louisburg 3-2.

Wake Prep Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 20-25, 18-25, 25-22, 15-7.

Wake Prep Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 16-4 record this season. As for Roanoke Rapids, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
