Soccer Game Preview: Grant vs. Cleveland

The Grant Generals will take on the Cleveland Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grant's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over McDaniel. Given Grant's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while McDaniel are ranked 61st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cleveland fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Franklin on Thursday. Three seems to be a good number for Cleveland as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Grant's win bumped their record up to 8-3-2. As for Cleveland, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.

Grant beat Cleveland 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Generals repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
