Soccer Recap: Fort Morgan Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Fort Morgan was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Longmont Trojans. While losing is never fun, Fort Morgan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Longmont are ranked 89th).

Fort Morgan's goal came courtesy of Ebony Sanchez, who's now up to two this season.

Fort Morgan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Longmont, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fort Morgan is set to challenge their familiar foe Frontier Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Fort Morgan: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Frontier Academy have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. Meanwhile, Longmont will take on rival Liberty Common at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
