Baseball Recap: Irmo Has No Trouble Against Lakewood

Irmo posted their biggest victory since April 18, 2024 on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 12-3 margin over the Lakewood Gators. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellow Jackets.

Cooper Starling looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Irmo got a massive performance out of Elliott Graham, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Hunter Parsons, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Irmo now has a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Irmo will be playing in front of their home fans against Camden at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lakewood, they will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Dutch Fork at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
