Basketball Game Preview: Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles vs. Leesburg Yellow Jackets

The Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles will square off against the Leesburg Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Florida Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Leesburg likes a good challenge.

Central Florida Christian Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 67-42 margin over Trinity Christian Academy. Given Central Florida Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Trinity Christian Academy is ranked 492nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Leesburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They put the hurt on South Sumter with a sharp 71-49 victory on Thursday.

Leesburg is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Central Florida Christian Academy came up short against Leesburg when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 63-59. Can Central Florida Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
