Recap: Hoxie vs. Osborne
Hoxie made easy work of Osborne on Friday and carried off a 52-20 victory. The success made it back-to-back wins for Hoxie.
Hoxie's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. Osborne came up with 14 to make it 28-14 heading into the break. The other side of the ball was dominant for Hoxie in the second half, holding Osborne to a measly 6 points.
Senior Jared Kennedy and junior Wylie Weems were among the main playmakers for Hoxie as the former rushed for 72 yards and 2 touchdowns and the latter rushed for 159 yards and 3 touchdowns. In fact, with 10 tackles Weems was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Logan Weimer, who racked up 9 tackles. The win bumped Hoxie's record up to 2-0. The loss dropped Osborne back to even at 1-1.
Next week Hoxie take on Quinter at 7:00 PM. As for Osborne, they will face off against Stockton.
