Baseball Recap: Dothan Takes a Loss

Dothan and Fairhope squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Dothan had to settle for second. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 11-3. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 8-2.

Dothan has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-11 record this season. As for Fairhope, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Fairhope beat Dothan by a score of 6-1 on Saturday.
