Baseball Game Preview: Kaufman Lions vs. Corsicana Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Kaufman Lions challenge Corsicana Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Kaufman and three for Corsicana.

Things were looking good for Kaufman after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Red Oak by a score of 4-3.

Abraham Ramos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Corsicana came up short against Midlothian Heritage on Friday and fell 5-1.

Corsicana's loss dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for Kaufman, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12-1.
