Softball Recap: Midlothian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Haltom on Friday, Midlothian came back down to earth. The Midlothian Panthers took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timber Creek Falcons on Saturday. The loss was the Panthers' first of the season.

Midlothian got a good showing from Abby Insley, who pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Midlothian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Prescott, who went a perfect2-for-2 with one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Midlothian fell to 3-1. As for Timber Creek, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Midlothian will square off against Grapevine at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Midlothian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Grapevine's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Timber Creek, they will challenge Keller Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
