Hemingway played against Burke on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Hemingway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Burke, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hemingway will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lake View at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for Burke, they will face off against Ridgeland Secondary Academy Of Excellence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
