University Liggett lost to Lutheran North back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mustangs, sneaking past 2-1. Given University Liggett's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Lutheran North are ranked 271st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

University Liggett's victory bumped their record up to 4-1-4. As for Lutheran North, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6-1.
