Recap: Dumont Huskies vs. Cliffside Park Raiders
The Dumont Huskies were the 60-52 winner over the Cliffside Park Raiders when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Dumont took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cliffside Park. Dumont has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cliffside Park's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomas Calabrese, who scored 20 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Jerelz Ortiz, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Dumont has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Cliffside Park, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.
Dumont will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Bergenfield at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Cliffside Park, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-57 defeat vs. Saddle River Day on the 10th.
