Football Game Preview: Mount View vs. Ellsworth/Sumner

Mount View will take on Ellsworth/Sumner at home at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Mount View have bulldozed their previous three opponents, so Ellsworth/Sumner might have their hands full.

Mount View put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They put the hurt on Stearns/Schenck with a sharp 21-0 victory. Mount View were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Meanwhile, Ellsworth/Sumner came into their this week averaging 33 points per game, but Ellsworth/Sumner fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-45 to Foxcroft. The low total for Ellsworth/Sumner limited their streak of high-flying scores to 3 in a row.

Mount View's win lifted them to 3-2 while Ellsworth/Sumner's loss dropped them down to 3-2. We'll find out if Mount View can add another positive mark to their record or if Ellsworth/Sumner can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Mount View's step.
