After only one run in their last matchup, Central Cabarrus made sure to put some runs up on the board against Alexander Central on Friday. The Central Cabarrus Vikings walked away with a 10-6 win over the Alexander Central Cougars. With that victory, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Chloe Phillips was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Peyton Smith also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Central Cabarrus now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Alexander Central, they moved to 3-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Cabarrus will face off against South Rowan at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alexander Central, they will head out to square off against West Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
