Soccer Recap: Lejeune Falls Short of East Wake Academy in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lejeune can now relate to. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the East Wake Academy Eagles who were credited with the victory on Thursday. The East Wake Academy Eagles got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Lejeune Devilpups' three. The loss was Lejeune's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lejeune fell to 16-1-1. As for East Wake Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-11.

As of now, neither Lejeune nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
