Volleyball Recap: Willow Glen Comes Up Short

Willow Glen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincoln Lions. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Willow Glen took Lincoln into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-19, 25-23, 19-25, 15-6.

Willow Glen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lincoln, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Coming up, Willow Glen will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Gilroy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Live Oak on the 20th.
