Baseball Game Preview: Anthony Wayne Generals vs. Northview Wildcats

For the second straight game, Anthony Wayne will face off against Northview. The Generals will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Anthony Wayne has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Anthony Wayne is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Northview just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Northview's part, Nick Schantz tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits.

At the plate, Colin Tomanski was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Conner Draper, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Northview's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Anthony Wayne, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-3.
