Softball Recap: Palisades Takes a Loss

After flying high against Berry on Thursday, Palisades came back down to earth. Palisades came up short against the Porter Ridge Pirates on Friday, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 two weeks ago.

Mariah Rushin was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Palisades has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Porter Ridge and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palisades will take on Stuart W. Cramer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Palisades is facing Stuart W. Cramer at the right time seeing as Stuart W. Cramer is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Porter Ridge, they will challenge Sun Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
