Pine View entered their tilt with Juan Diego Catholic on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with  a   6-3  victory over the Soaring Eagle. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the   12-2 win the Soaring Eagle walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2017.
 Robbie Cardone tossed a big game,   striking out nine batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   six  hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk any time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  Porter Campbell was  excellent,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  JJ Johnson, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
Pine View's victory bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for Juan Diego Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
 Coincidentally, Pine View and Juan Diego Catholic will both be playing Payson the next time they take the field. Pine View will  host Payson at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday, while Juan Diego Catholic will head out to face them  at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
