Basketball Recap: Unicoi County Has No Trouble Against Providence Academy

Unicoi County not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 1st (when they won 72-45). They blew past Providence Academy 67-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Devils also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.

Mason Morgan and Gavin Winfrey certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Morgan posted ten points and four steals, while Winfrey scored 13 points and three steals. Winfrey is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Austin Beckner was another key player, putting up three points and five rebounds.

Unicoi County's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Providence Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Unicoi County has already played their next contest (against Cloudland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Providence Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-64 win against Chuckey-Doak on the 29th.
