Baseball Recap: Molalla's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

The Dalles hit Molalla with a five-run sixth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverhawks. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Riverhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Grant Brusseau made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Douglas Wells, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Molalla's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5. As for The Dalles, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

While Molalla had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
