Basketball Game Preview: Oak Park Northmen vs. Liberty Blue Jays

The Oak Park Northmen will face off against the Liberty Blue Jays at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Oak Park is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Missouri's top teams: Park Hill South, who was ranked second at the time (Oak Park was ranked 25th). Oak Park was beaten by Park Hill South 72-45 last Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Northmen in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Liberty didn't have too much trouble with Kearney on Wednesday as they won 55-37. The Blue Jays haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Liberty now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Oak Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-2.

Oak Park didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Liberty when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 46-41 win. Does Oak Park have another victory up their sleeve, or will Liberty turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
