Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson-Morgan Rockets vs. Mapletown Maples

Jefferson-Morgan is a perfect 10-0 against Mapletown since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rockets will be home for the holidays to greet the Maples at 7:00 p.m. Jefferson-Morgan is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Tuesday, Jefferson-Morgan strolled past Bethlehem Center with points to spare, taking the game 46-29.

Jefferson-Morgan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dayten Marion out in front who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. Marion is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last 19 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jaymison Robinson, who posted six points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Mapletown played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 55-20 loss at the hands of West Greene. The Maples have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Mapletown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Jefferson-Morgan, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Everything came up roses for Jefferson-Morgan against Mapletown when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 62-13 win. In that contest, the Rockets amassed a halftime lead of 41-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
