Volleyball Recap: Winnebago Takes a Loss

Winnebago extended their losing streak to eight on Saturday, dropping them down to 5-19. They fell 2-0 to the Creighton Bulldogs. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Creighton, they now have a winning record of 12-11. The victory was some much needed relief for they as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Leading Creighton to victory were Ellison LaDeaux and Braylen Fanta. LaDeaux had ten digs and five aces, while Fanta had 11 assists and eight digs. Those five aces gave LaDeaux a new career-high.

Winnebago wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Randolph on the 20th. As for Creighton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Tri County Northeast on the 20th.
