Softball Recap: Brighton Comes Up Short

The Brighton Bulldogs came up short against the Stoney Creek Cougars on Monday and fell 13-8.

Anna Minnick was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kendall Peckens, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Brighton's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Stoney Creek, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brighton will square off against Northville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stoney Creek, they will challenge Swartz Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
