 Kasson-Mantorville has not done well against Austin recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Monday. The Kasson-Mantorville Komets walked away with  a   7-3  win over the Austin Packers. Winning may never get old, but Kasson-Mantorville sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
  Bennett Brown was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   seven  hits. Brown was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with a  double and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Grady Babcock and  Drew Fredrickson did most of the damage at the plate:  Babcock  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Fredrickson  went 3-for-4 with two  RBI and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Sam Graunke, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Kasson-Mantorville's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 4-2. As for Austin, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-5.
 Kasson-Mantorville will head out on the road to  face off against  Cannon Falls at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Austin, they will be playing at home against Century at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Century's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so Austin's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
