Basketball Recap: North White Piles Up the Points Against North Newton

North White waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the North Newton Spartans 43-15. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North White to victory, but perhaps none more so than Autumn Reif, who posted 14 points along with seven boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Katy Westerhouse, who put up six points in addition to six steals and five rebounds.

North White smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Newton only pulled down six offensive rebounds.

North White's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-12. As for North Newton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

North White didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-22 defeat against Clinton Prairie on the 25th. North Newton has also already played their next game, a 45-37 win against Covington on the 25th.
