Basketball Game Preview: Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets vs. Monrovia Wildcats

The Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on the Monrovia Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Norton Science & Language Academy is leaving town to face Monrovia after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Rockets had to suffer through a 45-2 loss at the hands of Lucerne Valley. The Rockets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-0.

Despite the defeat, Norton Science & Language Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Genesis Castaneda posted no points along with nine boards and six steals.

Meanwhile, Monrovia was able to grind out a solid win over St. Monica Academy on Tuesday, taking the game 45-36.
