It was a Battle of the Birds when Ben Lippen duked it out with Hilton Head Christian Academy on Monday. The Falcons put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 14-8 victory. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Matthew Bishop was incredible, going 3-for-5 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Micah Ott, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Ben Lippen has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 15-7 record.

Ben Lippen and Hilton Head Christian Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. The Falcons (ranked 31st) will meet American Leadership Academy (ranked 214th) at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hilton Head Christian Academy will challenge Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (35 vs. 173).
