Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon Starts Season with Loss at Home

Mt. Vernon unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Southridge Raiders by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon will face off against Evansville Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southridge, they will head out to face off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
