Basketball Game Preview: Northeast Vikings vs. Chamberlain Storm

The Northeast Vikings will take on the Chamberlain Storm in a tournament on Friday. One thing working in Northeast's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Northeast fought the good fight in their overtime game against Largo on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Packers. The loss put an end to the Vikings' undefeated start to the season.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Michael Robinson, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 57% every time he's hit the court this season. Jaiel Soto was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Chamberlain, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Brandon with a sharp 54-30 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Storm in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Northeast fell to 2-1. As for Chamberlain, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
