Volleyball Recap: Canterbury Takes a Loss

Canterbury and Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Canterbury had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Canterbury took Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-21, 15-9.

Canterbury's defeat dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Canterbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, they will challenge First Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
